Just realized how much my caption wording matters for screen readers

I've been posting about my chronic illness journey on social media for about 8 months now. A few weeks ago someone commented on one of my posts and said 'hey, this caption is hard to follow with my screen reader because you put the emojis in the middle of sentences.' I honestly never thought about that before. So now I put all my emojis at the end of paragraphs instead of scattered through the text. Also started adding image descriptions more carefully. It's such a small thing but apparently it makes a huge difference for blind folks following along. Anyone else get feedback like this that made you rethink how you write online?

Honestly I used to think emojis in captions were fine too but you changed my mind.

Wait hang on, you actually used to LIKE emojis in captions? I thought you were always on the anti-emoji train like me. That's wild man, I can't even picture you typing out a smiley face or a thumbs up without cringing. What changed your mind exactly, was it a specific post or just seeing them OVER and over?
