Took me 3 weeks to update my accessible parking placard renewal
I moved to Austin back in May and figured the renewal would be a simple online form... but no, Texas wants a physician's signature every single time, even for permanent conditions. My neurologist's office took 9 days to fax the form back, and then the county clerk said the signature wasn't dated properly. I had to drive 30 miles to the office, wait 2 hours, and pay $12 for a new form just to have them stamp it again. The whole process ate up 3 weeks of my life, and the whole time I was parking in the regular spots with my cane, feeling like a fraud even though my placard was expired. Has anyone else dealt with state-specific renewal rules that make no sense for permanent disabilities?

That 3 weeks of bureaucratic runaround sounds brutal, feel for you.
