Vent: That week my curb cut was blocked for 3 straight days
Last month in Portland, a delivery truck parked right across the only curb cut on my block for three days in a row, and I had to roll into the street to get around it. Has anyone else had to deal with repeat offenders like that and found a way to get them ticketed faster?

People just park wherever they feel like these days.

Actually people park just fine, the real issue is that we've got way too many cars on the road and not enough places to put them. If you look at most suburban strip malls, they've got these tiny lots that were designed for a fraction of the cars that show up now. And don't get me started on the folks who get mad when someone parks slightly over the line in a crowded lot at Home Depot on a Saturday. You ever notice how nobody complains about parking at like 7 AM on a Tuesday? It's because there's space then. The problem isn't the drivers, it's that we keep building everything around driving without thinking about where all those cars are supposed to go when they stop.
