Had a buddy call me out on my brake line setup... glad he did
I was trimming housing on my MTB in Sacramento and just eyeballing the length like always. A guy at the bike co-op pointed out my rear brake line was way too short and would snap under full fork extension. Fixed it with a 170mm piece and now I actually have steering clearance. Anyone else ever catch a bad habit from some random stranger at a group ride?

Wait, you used to just eyeball brake line length too? I always thought close enough was good enough until I saw a guy's line get yanked clean out at the fork on a big drop. That changed my mind real quick, now I measure twice and cut once.
