Switched from grease to oil on my chain and it is night and day different
For 15 years I always slathered thick grease on my bike chain because that is what my dad did. Tried a lightweight chain oil last month after a shop guy in Des Moines suggested it and now my shifts actually feel crisp. Anybody else have trouble moving away from what they learned?

Yeah, I get that. My old man was the same way with grease, took me years to finally try something different and I felt dumb for waiting so long.

That shop guy in Des Moines must have seen your setup and cringed a little inside, huh? What made you finally listen to him after 15 years of doing it the old way?
