My 4 foot tomato teepee fell over twice, so I switched to zip ties and a dead birch branch instead
Last spring I built this big teepee out of bamboo poles for my cherry tomatoes and it crashed down during a storm in July, taking out half my peppers. So I tried something different and lashed three dead birch branches from my backyard together with zip ties in a tripod shape instead of using twine. The zip ties held tight all season and the rough bark gave the vines way more to grab onto. It looked like a weird witch hut but I got 60 tomatoes off it. What do you all use to hold up your tall plants that actually survives wind?
