My crooked cucumber turned into a perfect spiral after 3 days in a jar

I left one of those weird bent cucumbers in a pickle brine for 3 days and it fully straightened out into a cool spiral shape. Has anyone else tried shaping weird veggies with brine or salt water?

You ever think pickling is just nature's way of fixing stuff that didn't turn out perfect? I used to be all about only eating the straight, pretty cucumbers but now I get why the crooked ones get saved for the brine. Honestly the flavor was just as good and maybe even better since they soaked up more of that garlic dill goodness.
