PSA: I zip tied googly eyes to my zucchini and now the whole plant is a monster
Last month I was bored and zip tied two big googly eyes to a zucchini that was growing in a weird L shape. Two days later I noticed the zucchini had grown into the shape of a face, so I added a pipe cleaner mouth and a little hat made from a yogurt cup. The thing got so popular with my neighbors that I started doing it to my bell peppers and now I have a whole row of staring vegetables. My wife says it is creepy but the mailman took a photo and said it made his day. Has anyone else turned a mutant veggie into a character, or am I the only one losing it out here?
