Vent: Spent $60 on a 'giant pumpkin seed kit' and got regular jack-o-lanterns instead
Ordered this kit online from a seller that claimed the seeds would grow 200 lb pumpkins. Followed the instructions to the letter, watered like crazy, fed them special fertilizer. After 4 months I got normal pumpkins, biggest one maybe 15 lbs. The seller ghosted me when I asked for a refund. Anyone else get burned by those oversized vegetable seed scams?

Hold up, $60 for seeds? That's wild. I've seen people get ripped off on seeds before but that's a crazy amount to drop on something that's basically a gamble. A friend of mine fell for a similar thing with "giant tomato" seeds and got cherry tomatoes instead, he was so mad. Did the seller's page have those fake photoshopped pictures of a guy holding a pumpkin the size of a car? I bet it did.
