Bought $60 of expanding foam to fill a cheap helmet and it ruined my whole weekend
Wanted a quick base for a spartan helmet, sprayed it inside a plastic mold and it kept expanding for 6 hours, cracked the shell and glued itself to my kitchen counter, anyone else learn the hard way that foam needs way more room than the label says?

...wait, the foam glued itself to your kitchen counter? Are you telling me you did this indoors over your actual counter, not even on a tarp or some cardboard? I mean, I get making do with what you got, but that foam is basically a chemical weapon for any surface it touches. I had a small can of that stuff blow up on me once and the cap alone fused to my workbench like it was welded on. Six hours of expanding though, that's some next level nightmare fuel, my can was done in like 20 minutes and still made a mess I had to chisel off. You might as well just buy a new countertop at this point, cause that stuff does not come off once it sets.

Man, that foam is like the universe expanding, just way less cool and way more kitchen counter. I once did the same thing and ended up with a foam blob that looked like a melted pumpkin, plus my sponge was a lost cause forever.
