EVA foam vs Worbla for my Mandalorian chest plate. Went the cheap route.
Stood in the craft store aisle for 20 minutes trying to decide. EVA foam is like 8 bucks a sheet. Worbla is 40 for a small roll. Picked foam. Took me 3 tries to get the heat shaping right. Now it dents if I bump a table. Kinda wish I just saved up for the Worbla.

Heard Worbla is way tougher if you drop it.

Nah man I feel you. I did the same thing with my first helmet. Spent like 12 bucks on a 6mm sheet of EVA foam and spent four weekends sanding and sealing it. First time I dropped it off my desk it left a thumb sized dent. Had to heat gun it back out and redo the whole paint job. Wortbla is expensive but I swear it's worth it just for the durability.
