Hit 200 foam swords in 18 months, but are they actually worth it?

So I've been cranking out foam swords for local con goers since last spring. Finally hit 200 builds, which felt huge to me. But then someone at a meetup said 'quantity doesn't mean quality' and I started second guessing myself. On one hand, every sword taught me something new about layering and durability. On the other, I could have spent those hours perfecting 20 absolute masterpieces instead. My last 10 swords sold pretty fast, but I only got 3 requests for commissions after that. Does hitting a high number actually mean you're getting better, or is it just repetition for its own sake? Curious if anyone else has passed a milestone like 100 or 500 pieces and felt the same doubt.

200 foam swords sounds less like a milestone and more like a small medieval army. If half of those are leaning against a wall in your garage, that's just a fire hazard with extra steps. But the real question is, did the 200th sword actually turn out better than the 20th? If yes, keep cranking. If no, then you just made 180 very expensive paperweights.
