I finally quit using foam clay for armor details
I spent like 6 months trying to make foam clay work for my Mandalorian helmet vents and it kept cracking. Switched to worbla just for the small bits and the detail holds way better, no sanding needed. Anyone else have a material they stubbornly stuck with too long?

Yeah I feel that with the foam clay cracking lol. It's funny how we'll stick with something way too long just cause we already spent money on it or got used to the process, even when there's clearly a better option out there.

You ever notice how that same stubbornness shows up in other stuff too? I kept using this old phone for two extra years because I had all the cases and chargers for it, even though it was laggy and the battery sucked. It's like you commit to a system and suddenly you're defending it against logic. Same thing happened with my old Dremel bits - kept forcing them to cut clean until they basically melted. Eventually you just have to admit the sunk cost is gone and move on. Feels better once you do, but man it's hard to break that cycle.
