Thought Barge cement was just hype from old cosplay forums until I glued my 8mm EVA foam gauntlet last month and it held through a whole convention in Baltimore
Kept reading on the r/cosplay threads that contact cement was the only way to go for seams and I figured my $6 tube of DAP was doing fine, but after 3 failed hot glue attempts on the same elbow joint I finally grabbed a can of Barge, and that gauntlet survived 9 hours of walking the floor plus a very sweaty photo shoot, so now I'm curious what other 'old school' tricks I've been sleeping on like the heat gun pass before sealing.

That heat gun pass trick is real, I started doing it before sealing and my seams stopped cracking at the flex points.
