Worbla vs craft foam for a chest piece, 3 hour test settled it

I spent last Saturday mocking up the same pauldron pattern in both materials. Foam was way faster to cut and shape, no question, but the second I added a second layer and tried to heat-form a curve it just felt mushy. Worbla held the shape after one pass with my heat gun and didn't need a million coats of sealant before paint. For a piece that has to survive a full day of walking around a con, I'll take the extra sanding time over foam's flimsy edges any day. Anyone else dump foam after trying thermoplastics for something structural?
