Discovered cheap adhesive cable clips work way better than raceways

I spent like 3 years using those plastic raceways along my desk trim to hide cables. Looked okay but cleaning dust from them was a nightmare. Last month I stuck a 12 pack of 3M adhesive clips from Walmart for $4.50 under my desk and ran everything along the frame. Total game changer for airflow and I can actually reach every plug now without prying anything open. Anyone else ditch raceways for something simpler?

I read somewhere that those raceways can trap heat near your computer too, which is bad for the hardware. Never thought about that until I saw a post about cable management and overheating. The adhesive clips under the desk seem like a smarter move, especially if you swap out gear a lot. Are you running the cables along the back edge or the underside of the desk frame?

@terry914 actually raceways block dust way better than open clips in my experience.
