Hit 50 feet of cable hiding under my desk today and honestly felt like a god

I was pulling out old cables from my ikea desk setup and counted them up. 50 feet of tangled mess just from a monitor, laptop, and a lamp. Has anyone else been shocked by how much cable they actually have hiding back there?

felt like a god" lol i bet, that's a whole roll of cat5e worth of random garbage under there. were most of them actually plugged into something or was it just a graveyard of old usb cables and charging bricks you forgot about? i found five power adapters under my desk once that were for stuff i sold years ago. my desk has like one visible cable now and i still feel like trash, so props to you for slaying that beast.

Heard someone say the average desk has about 30 feet of cable hiding underneath it and that felt about right until I saw your count. Makes you wonder what else is lurking back there collecting dust bunnies.

The worst part is when you finally pull everything out and find a whole ecosystem of dust and dead bugs in there. I had a desk that hid three different generations of phone chargers and a cable for a printer I haven't owned in a decade. Felt like an archaeologist digging through layers of my own bad habits.
