Just learned my cheap IKEA desk is actually particle board with a thin veneer, not solid wood at all

Saw a video from some guy cutting into the same Linnmon tabletop I've had for 2 years and realized that $60 desk I thought was a steal is basically cardboard inside, so has anyone else had theirs sag under a heavy monitor arm?

Yeah exactly, the honeycomb is wild when you first see it. I thought mine was solid too and it barely sagged until I put a heavy 32 inch on an arm then it started drooping real quick.

Linnmon was the one I had too... always figured it was solid wood since it was so heavy. Then a buddy pointed out the honeycomb paper inside and I felt pretty dumb for not checking sooner. It held my monitor fine for a year but started bowing once I added a second arm.
