My brother called my desk a "noodle factory" and I had to fix the cable mess

I thought I had decent cable management. Velcro straps, a tray under the desk, the works. Then my brother came over and said it looked like a plate of spaghetti exploded under there. He was right. I spent last Sunday cutting zip ties and redoing everything with those adhesive cable clips that stick to the bottom of the desk. Ran everything along the back edge. Cost me $12 at Home Depot. Took about 2 hours. Now you can't see a single wire. Has anyone else had a family member call out your setup like that?

Oh man, "noodle factory" is brutal but hilarious, I had the same exact wake-up call when my wife said my desk cables looked like a rat's nest. I thought I was being slick with those velcro straps too, but they always end up sliding off and everything droops down eventually. Those adhesive cable clips are a game changer though, I did the same thing along the back of my desk and now it actually feels clean back there.

I kind of disagree on the adhesive clips, actually. Maybe it's just me but I've had those things just peel off after a few months, especially if it gets warm in the room. I switched to screw in cable raceways and it's a little more work upfront but nothing has fallen off since.
