My monitor mount gave out at 3 AM during a late night gaming session
Had my dual monitor arm setup for about 8 months and one of the gas springs just gave up completely around 3 in the morning. Screen dropped right onto my keyboard, scared the heck out of me. Ended up using a stack of old textbooks as a temporary stand for my main monitor while I wait for a replacement part to ship from Amazon. Anyone else have gas springs fail way earlier than expected?

Idk man that really sucks, I've heard horror stories about gas springs going bad way too fast. I mean you'd think for the price they'd hold up better than that. I've had my single monitor arm for like 2 years now and it's still going strong but maybe I just got lucky. Using textbooks as a stand is honestly genius though, I did that with my old TV for like a month once. Hope Amazon gets your part to you soon, that's just bad luck for a random 3 AM fail.
