Pro tip: skip the cable tray, use shower curtain rings
Everyone swears by those metal trays under the desk but mine sagged after 3 months with my power strip and USB hub. I clipped the cables to a cheap tension rod using shower curtain rings, cost me $8 at Target and it looks cleaner plus way easier to swap stuff out. Anybody else ditch the standard route for something weird that just works?

Ugh, the sagging thing is so real. I had the same issue with one of those mesh trays, it bent right in the middle and my cords just piled up in a heap. The shower curtain ring idea is genius though, I've been using binder clips on the edge of my desk for a while but they keep snapping when I need to move a cable. Maybe it's just me but swapping out a phone charger is such a pain when everything is zip tied to something permanent. I love that you can just unclip one ring and slide a new cord through without touching the rest. Honestly, might steal this setup this weekend, my $8 fix is already looking sad compared to yours.
