Spent 3 hours fighting a sagging monitor arm on my $90 plywood desk
The arm kept pulling the whole top forward, so I had to crawl under and add a 2x4 brace and a $6 metal plate from the hardware store. It took way longer than the desk build itself did. What do you all use to keep a clamp-on arm from wrecking a thin top?
Remember when everyone swore those cheap glass tops from Ikea were the way to go? I had mine about two months before a clamp lamp cracked it right at the edge. Some lessons cost sixty bucks and a trip back to the store. At least you got a fix out of yours instead of a trash pile.
