Three days of cable spaghetti vs 20 minutes of velcro - which way works better?
I spent all last Thursday wrestling with zip ties under my desk (you know, the kind that bite you if you snip wrong) and finally gave up, then Friday I just used velcro strips from the dollar store and had everything clean in under a half hour. That got me thinking about my pest control routes and how sometimes the expensive tool isn't always the better option for desk setups either. So which side are you on - spend time on permanent cable management or just do quick temporary fixes that are easy to change later?

Oh jeez @jasons63, a buddy of mine swore by zip ties until his cat chewed through one and knocked his whole setup down the stairs!

Nah, I'm team zip ties all the way. Yeah they're annoying to cut off but once they're on they don't budge. Velcro loses its grip after a few months especially if you're moving stuff around. I've had velcro strips just fall off in the heat under my desk. Plus zip ties look cleaner when you do it right. Spend the extra time once and forget about it.
