Figured out a trick for loose joystick modules on Xbox controllers

So I've got this Xbox Series X controller that's maybe a year old and the left stick developed that nasty wobble where it just flops around with no tension. I was about to buy a whole new module and desolder the old one but I watched a video about putting a thin plastic washer under the stick housing to take up the slack. I had some o-rings from an old keyboard build laying around, like 1mm thick, and I sandwiched one between the outer shell and the module frame. It snugged the whole thing right up. No more wobble and it still centers properly. Has anyone else tried something like this with random hardware parts or did I just get lucky with the thickness?

Yo that plastic washer trick is legit, I did almost the same thing with a tiny rubber grommet from an old RC car and it fixed my wobbly stick perfectly lol.

Honestly that's just gonna wear out the potentiometer faster since you're adding extra pressure.
