Joystick drift fix that hit me after my 2nd teardown
My left stick on the old Xbox pad started drifting hard during a co-op run last Saturday, so I tore it open expecting to swap the potentiometer. Turns out the whole issue was a cracked solder joint on the sensor leg, not the stick module itself. I reflowed it with my $15 iron and some flux I had lying around, and it's been rock solid for 40+ hours since. That got me thinking about how many parts we toss without checking the simple connections first. Has anyone else found a similar fix that was way easier than the full replacement route?
