Someone pointed out my thumbstick swap was crooked and it bugged me enough to redo it

I swapped clear purple thumbsticks into my DualSense and thought they looked fine. A buddy zoomed in on a photo and said the rubber ring was noticeably off center to the right by about 2mm. Ended up buying a $10 alignment tool off Amazon to get it perfect the second time around. Has anyone else had a friend spot something you didn't see yourself?

That $10 alignment tool was a lifesaver for me too. I tried eyeballing my first set of purple thumbsticks on an Xbox controller and ended up with one sitting slightly higher than the other by maybe 1mm. Took me three tries to get both rings even and flush with the shell. The trick is to press down evenly from the center of the stick cap, not the edges, or you'll just twist it again. Definitely worth spending the few bucks to avoid that nagging feeling every time you look at your controller.
