Warning: my buddy’s advice to glue thumbsticks on was a disaster

He said just a dab of super glue would fix my loose joystick cap, but after three hours of soaking it in acetone I still can't get my right stick to move freely, has anyone else tried this and actually gotten it to work?

Wait, seriously? @olivia_wilson I tried that once and after 3 hours the mug still had paint in the little lines, so I just gave up and threw it in the trash.
