Warning: Tried swapping thumbsticks without a puller and wrecked the board

I was in my garage last night trying to swap the left stick on my Series 2, thought I could just pry it off with a flathead. Ended up ripping a pad clean off the PCB and now the controller won't register any movement on that side. Has anyone else had to jump a trace after mangling a stick swap?

Hey, did you end up using a jumper wire to connect where that pad used to be? I fixed a similar issue on an Xbox One controller by scraping back the trace and soldering a tiny wire directly to it.

Ugh I heard on a repair channel that flux is your best friend for those trace repairs.
