Can we talk about the tile saw incident at my buddy's place in Phoenix?
We were cutting porcelain for a bathroom floor and his old saw kept chipping edges. I said we needed a new blade, but he insisted on just going slower. After ruining four tiles, I drove to the store and bought a $70 continuous rim diamond blade. The difference was instant, perfect cuts every time. Now I'm torn, is it always worth buying the right tool for one job, or should you try to make do with what you have? What's your rule for tool upgrades?

Honestly, I heard cheap tools cost more in ruined materials.

Yeah, and the time you waste fixing their mistakes is even worse.
