Chose peel and stick tiles over real grout for my kitchen backsplash and now I'm second guessing it
I live in a rental so I wanted something I could rip out when I move, and peel and stick tiles were the obvious cheap way to go. I picked up 12 packs from the orange store for about $85 total, which was way less than the $300+ a tile guy quoted me. It took me a whole Saturday and honestly applying the tiles wasn't hard, but lining up the edges around the outlets was a nightmare. They look fine from across the room but up close you can see where the adhesive doesn't sit flush on the textured wall. I'm debating whether to just leave it or pull it all and do real thinset on backer board instead. Has anyone here tried peel and stick on a walls that aren't perfectly flat, and did you find a trick to hide the gaps?
