Finally got my caulk lines straight after 3 years of sloppy joints
I was tiling my bathroom backsplash in Phoenix last weekend and noticed the gaps between tiles were all uneven. Kept seeing these wavy lines on other people's DIY jobs posted online and wondered why nobody fixes it. Turns out I was using too much caulk and pressing too hard with the tool. I backed off the pressure and slowed down, and the lines came out clean for the first time ever. Anybody else struggle with getting those joints to look professional?

Man "finally got my caulk lines straight" hit me right in the feels because same. I spent like two years just smearing the stuff on and wondering why it looked like a toddler did it. The pressure thing is real - I used to push the gun way too hard and it would just bubble up everywhere. Slowing down and using a lighter touch was the game changer for me too. Now I actually look forward to doing caulk instead of dreading it.

Did you switch to a smaller tip too? That helped me way more than I expected lol.
