My shower head had low pressure for 6 months until I tried a vinegar soak

I used to just replace shower heads every year or so when the flow got weak. Never bothered to clean them, figured it was just cheap hardware wearing out. Last month I finally googled it and found out about soaking the head in white vinegar overnight to dissolve mineral buildup. Pulled mine off, stuck it in a ziplock bag with vinegar, and the next morning the pressure was like new. Has anyone else had luck with this or do you just buy new ones every time?

Hold on a second. I mean, yeah, vinegar works but is it really that big of a deal? I just change heads maybe every two years when the pressure bugs me. They're, what, like fifteen bucks at the hardware store. I guess if you're dead set on saving every penny or you have some expensive fancy rain shower thing, a vinegar soak makes sense. But for me, it takes me longer to unscrew the head and dig out a baggie than it does to just grab a new one off the shelf. It's fine, do what you want, but I don't think you're some genius for cleaning a shower head with kitchen stuff.

So you'd rather buy plastic junk every two years than spend ten minutes cleaning?
