Paid $180 for a laser level and honestly it collects dust now

I grabbed a Bosch GLL100G on sale last spring for my basement ceiling project, figured it would be a game changer. Turns out a chalk line and a $12 torpedo level did the job faster for those joist runs. Maybe I'm using it wrong, but has anyone actually gotten real value out of these things or am I missing some trick?

Keep it for long runs, chalk lines bend over 20 feet. Buy cheap next time.
