That moment I realized my drill bits were backwards for 2 years
I was trying to drill through some 2x4s for a deck project last month and kept stripping out the wood. My buddy came over and just laughed, told me I was spinning the drill in reverse the whole time. Has anyone else gone that long doing something so basic completely wrong?

A drill spins clockwise for drilling and counterclockwise for removal, so you must have been reversing into those 2x4s. Did your buddy at least buy you a beer after that laugh?

How did you not notice the sawdust was flying toward your face instead of away from the work piece? I've reversed a drill like five times on accident before I caught myself, but two years is some serious dedication to the bit spin lmao. Did you ever wonder why your drill was making that weird screeching sound the whole time?
