Finally got my bookcase to stop wobbling at 2 AM last night

I built a simple pine bookcase about a month ago and it always had this little rock in the front left corner. Last night around midnight I got fed up and decided to fix it. I thought it was the floor being uneven so I tried shimming it with cardboard. That helped a little but it still wobbled. Then I noticed one of the leg joints wasn't fully seated. I took a rubber mallet and tapped it back into place, then added three wood screws through the side panels into the legs. No more wobble at all. The whole thing took maybe 20 minutes but I had been ignoring it for weeks. Has anyone else had a small fix turn into a late night project that you kept putting off?

Check if the shelf itself is twisted - sometimes the wood warps after a few weeks and shimming the floor won't fix that.
