Freon line caught fire at 2am, now I check every joint

Was brazing a copper line in my buddy's garage in Tucson when the torch kicked back and ignited the insulation, melted a hole in my glove before I even noticed the smoke, so now I keep a wet rag on the valve and have anyone nearby watch my hands, has anyone else had a torch flare-up like that?

Man, talk about a wake up call! I did the same thing once and now my shop rag is basically glued to my hand like a security blanket.
