Serious question, who else quit using a chalk line after one bad afternoon?

My buddy told me to trust the laser level instead and I laughed at him, then I spent 45 minutes re-marking a fence line because the chalk snapped wet and smeared, so now I'm on the laser train and it's super fast, has anyone else switched tools after a similar mess?

2-inch nail set and a framing square beat both of them for marking fence posts. Chalk lines are for flat surfaces where you can control the snap, but the moment you're working on anything with texture or moisture you're gambling. I keep a laser for long runs but I still carry a chalk box for dry interior layouts. The wet chalk problem is really a tool choice problem, not a tool problem.
