I finally got my emulsion to stop washing out after 6 tries

I kept losing my stencil on the rinse step and it took me about 3 weeks of messing around with my bathroom setup to figure out my bulb was just too close and baking the emulsion before I even hit it with water. I moved the light to 14 inches, timed it with my phone, and the last 3 screens came out clean with no pinholes. Anyone else get stuck chasing their exposure time when it turned out to be something dumb like a bulb that was too hot or too close?
