My kitchen spatula just fixed my screen tension problem
I kept getting these wavy lines on my prints, especially on bigger designs, and I figured it was my cheap hinge clamps letting the screen shift. After 3 ruined shirts last Saturday, I grabbed this old rubber spatula from the drawer and used the flat edge to press the screen down hard against the platen while I pulled the squeegee. The flex in the rubber actually held the mesh tighter in the center, no more ghosting on the edges. It's not a real tension meter or anything, but it worked better than my loose tape trick. Anyone else ever use weird kitchen stuff for a quick fix on a stubborn print?
You ever have one of those moments where you realize your "professional" setup is just fancy tape and hope? Because I'm pretty sure my best print tool is a butter knife I stole from the kitchen drawer.
