TIL the cheap 110 mesh beat my fancy 200 for white ink on dark shirts
I ran out of my usual 200 mesh screens last Tuesday and had to stretch a cheap 110 I got in a 3-pack from a craft store in Toledo for $12. I was printing white on black tees and figured it would look sloppy, but the 110 laid down a smooth, solid coat in one pull instead of the three I usually need. The 200 clogged less but left thin, patchy spots every time, even with the same ink and squeegee. Now I'm wondering if I had the mesh count backward this whole time, has anyone else had better luck with a lower count for light ink on dark fabric?
