Unpopular opinion: a cheap squeegee from the hardware store beat my fancy one and I'm annoyed
I picked up a $4 rubber squeegee at the Ace in Boise last month just to have a backup, and it lays down ink way smoother than the $25 one I bought when I started out. The cheap one has a stiffer blade that doesn't flex as much, so I get a crisp edge on my 110 mesh instead of that smeared look I kept fighting. I ran 20 shirts for a friend's band last weekend and only had 2 bad pulls the whole night. The pricey one has a soft edge that keeps rolling under and flooding the screen. Has anyone else found that the cheap stuff works better than the gear everyone tells you to buy?
