Bought a glue gun that melted in my hand within 2 minutes
Grabbed one from the dollar aisle last Tuesday. Wanted to fix a chipped vase. Plugged it in and the handle got soft. Then sticky. Then I dropped the whole thing on my rug. It was a mess. The glue never even came out hot. Anyone else have dollar store tools just fail on them?

HOLD UP. Wait a minute. @andrew693 you're telling me you paid a dollar for a glue gun and expected it to not melt? Because I actually expected it to at least stay solid for maybe five minutes. I got burned by the same trap, literally. The handle turned into sticky goo before I could even aim the glue stick at anything. Dollar store tools are a gamble where you always lose. Never again.
