Check your dollar store glue sticks before buying, found 3 dried out packs in El Paso

Stopped by the Dollar Tree off Mesa St yesterday to grab glue sticks for a kid's craft project. Picked up a few packs and felt how light they were in my hand. Opened one right there at the counter and the glue was cracked and shrunk inside the tube. Took a look at the other two packs, same problem. Maybe they sat in a hot warehouse for months. I usually stock up but now I check every single pack before I pay. Anyone else had this happen with their local store's craft section?

Honestly sounds like you got unlucky, most dollar store glue sticks are fine. People love to complain about the cheap stuff but my kids have used them for years without issue, maybe you just grabbed a bad batch from a hot truck or something. Checking every pack feels like a little much, but hey, you do you lol.
