Dollar store shower caddy turned into my paint station

I was setting up to paint some small plant pots and needed a way to hold them steady. I had two dollar store options: a mesh shower caddy or those foam hair rollers. I went with the shower caddy since it was $1.25 and already had slots to grip the pots. I flipped it upside down, set the pots in the gaps, and painted without them sliding around. Has anyone else repurposed bathroom stuff for craft projects, or am I the weird one here?

The little rubber feet on those caddies are usually the part that keeps the whole thing stable, and flipping it upside down means you're probably getting better grip than if you used it right side up. I've done something similar with a toothbrush holder for paintbrush storage, just drilled a few extra holes in the bottom for drainage. It's honestly the best $1.25 you can spend for a project like that, beats buying a specialty turntable any day.
