Glue gun cord tangled so bad last Tuesday I just sat on the floor for 5 minutes

I was trying to finish a dollar store cork board frame for my mom's birthday and the hot glue gun cord wrapped around the table leg three times, then the glue dried in the nozzle mid-project because the dollar store sticks melt uneven, so has anyone else given up and switched to the white tacky glue for frames even though it takes longer?

Oh man, those dollar store glue sticks are a gamble every single time. The tacky glue is definitely the way to go for frames, plus you can smooth out the corners without burning your fingers. Just gotta prop the pieces up with some books while they dry.
