Guy at the register said my wreath looked like a tangled hose, so I changed one thing
I was making wreaths out of dollar store pool noodles and zip ties and they kept looking lumpy no matter how tight I pulled. He said 'wrap the noodle in duct tape before you bend it' and now the curve holds and everything sits flat. Anyone else taping their noodle first or am I late to this?
Man, that duct tape trick sounds like a total mess waiting to happen. All that sticky tape on dollar store foam is gonna slide around the second it gets warm, and now you got adhesive goop melting all over your hands and your table. Half the point of a pool noodle wreath is that it's cheap and you can toss it when it gets beat up, but wrapped in tape it's just trash you can't recycle. Tight zip ties and a good bend have always worked fine for me, so why add a step that makes the whole thing uglier?
