I was wrapping gifts with newspaper like a cheapskate, then my sister showed me the dollar store wrapping paper hack
I used to save old newspapers all year and wrap every birthday and Christmas gift with them, thinking I was being smart and saving $5. Last week my sister came over and watched me struggle with a roll of newsprint that kept tearing at the corners. She pulled out a $1 roll of actual wrapping paper from the dollar store and a $1 pack of gift bows, and finished three presents in the time it took me to do one. I felt pretty dumb standing there holding my crinkled newspaper and tape. Has anyone else switched to dollar store paper, or do you still swear by the free stuff?
