My dollar store candle holder turned into a melted mess within an hour
I know everyone raves about those glass candle holders from DollarTree for DIY projects. I tried using one as a centerpiece for a dinner party last Saturday, and within 45 minutes the heat cracked the glass and hot wax spilled all over my tablecloth. The tea light was just a standard cheap one, not even anything fancy. Lesson learned? Not all dollar store glass is made for real heat, even if it looks sturdy. Has anyone else had a dollar store glass item fail on them like this?

Is it bad that I totally had the same thing happen but thought it was a "new candle scent" making the house smell like burned plastic?
