My dollar store wreath turned into a bird feeder disaster last weekend

I made this cute spring wreath using fake flowers from Dollar Tree, glued onto a wire frame. Worked great for like 2 days until a squirrel decided it was a snack bar. It grabbed the whole thing off my door and dragged it into a tree, leaving fake petals all over my porch. I was so mad but also kinda impressed. The glue from the dollar store held up better than the wreath did! Anybody else have a dollar store project get ruined by wildlife?

Heating up some cheap super glue before applying it helps the fake flowers stick better, I found. Also try spraying the whole thing with that clear outdoor sealant spray - it makes it less tasty to squirrels and keeps the glue from getting weak in rain.

Oh yeah, the sealant makes a huge difference for keeping out critters...
