PSA: That $5 pack of hot glue sticks from Dollar Tree ruined my whole shelf project
Ngl I grabbed a 40 pack of hot glue sticks thinking all glue sticks are the same. Big mistake. Used them to attach some cheap picture frames to a painted wall in my bathroom. Woke up at 2am to a loud crash. Two frames on the floor, one cracked. The glue just let go completely after about 8 hours. I think the humidity in there broke down the bond. Ended up buying the name brand ones for $7 at Walmart and they've held for 2 weeks now. Has anyone else found certain dollar store adhesives just don't stick past a day?

Did you clean the wall first before gluing?
